The story of Ananias and Sapphira is often reduced to money. Many say it is about giving in church or withholding financial offerings. I no longer see it that way. When a Bible story is taken at face value the tone shifts.

The story of the Good Samaritan has always been about compassion, yet it also carries a message many of us miss. You are all the characters in that story. You are the one who is hurting. You are the one who walks past your own needs. You are also the one who stops to care.
